Flexible, precured dry intumescent strips used mainly for plastic & insulated pipe applications, wrapped simply around penetrating item(s) to completely fill annular space. In addition, for use with a universal collar for engineered plastic pipes 8 in. diameter and greater. Metacaulk Wrap Strip expands when exposed to heat, forming a refractory char that tightly seals to prevent the spread of flames, smoke, and toxic fumes. It is easy to install with no cure time required and offers excellent freeze-thaw stability. This wrap strip is highly versatile, flexible, and economical. Its long length means less waste and it is suitable for systems up to 14? PVC.
